G
hrough this internship financed by the Bernheim Foundation, Antoine Delens hopes to acquire a more in-depth practical knowledge of the FPS Foreign Affairs as well as the functioning of the European institutions and in particular the intergovernmental functioning of the European Council. This internship will allow me to follow closely the Belgian diplomatic work with the European institutions but also to improve my linguistic knowledge, essential to a quality diplomatic work", says the young graduate. The next step is already very clear: present the diplomatic contest. An internship with the Permanent Representation and field experience with EULEX Kosovo have already prepared the ground well. "This first experience as a Junior Political Adviser strengthened my ability and willingness to work abroad and in conflict and post-conflict zones.
The other five winners are from ULB, VUB, UAntwerpen and KUL. No less than 144 candidates from the country's universities had submitted their applications for this 16th edition. Twelve of them passed the audition.
