During the visit of the Hangzhou Normal University (China) on Friday 26 October 2018, the Rector Pierre Wolper renewed the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.

This agreement was initiated in 2011, during the Princely Mission to China, in which ULiège took part. This first agreement, signed at the initiative of Professor Steven Laureys, formalized the fruitful collaboration between the Coma Sciences Group and the Vegetative State and Consciousness Science Institute at Hangzhou Normal University.

Seven years later, this collaboration continues to bear fruit and allows ULiège to extend the cooperation agreement to the fields of e-commerce, aeronautics and logistics.

The Rector was accompanied by Professors Eric Haubruge, Vincent d'Orio, Frédéric Francis, Jacques Piette, Bernard Rogister, Michael Schyns, Didier Serteyn, Louis Wehenkel and the Technology Transfer Office’s Director, Michel Morant.

Our areas of expertise related to this convention were presented to the Chinese delegation, led by Vice-President Yang Lei, who also had the opportunity to visit the GIGA and CSL facilities.
