EMerald : Graduation of the 5th cohort

n August 23, fourteen students, of nine nationalites, celebrated the end of their master during the EMerald graduation ceremony. This is the 5th edition of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in georesources engineering, co-financed by the Erasmus + programme of the European Union, and coordinated by the University of Liege (Professor Eric Pirard).

The young graduates have been personally congratuled by their mentor / a representative of the partner universities (University of Liège, University of Lorraine, Luleå University of Technology, Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg) during the graduation ceremony, before presenting master theses in 3 minutes. It was also the occasion for them to meet a last time, before they join the world of work.

The EMerald program has been refinanced by the European Union for four consecutive cohorts and is also an EIT labelled programme (label given by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, which values the international and entrepreneurial dimensions of this master). It welcomes the new students in September 2019 at the University of Liege, for their first semester. The students will pursue their mobility pathway by joining the different universities : France, Sweden or Germany, then one of the four universities of the consortium their master thesis.
