Chaque année, le Fonds National pour la Recherche Scientifique (F.R.S.-FNRS) octroie des subsides à des chercheurs des universités de la Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles afin qu'ils puissent se consacrer à leur recherche scientifique. Parmi ces subsides, les bourses FRESH et FRIA qui permettent à des jeunes chercheurs de préparer et présenter une thèse de doctorat. Cette année, le F.R.S.-FNRS a accordé 32 nouvelles bourses et 41 renouvellement de bourses à de jeunes scientifiques de l'ULiège. Félicitations à eux !

e FRS-FNRS (Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique) est une fondation d'utilité publique ayant pour objet de favoriser la recherche scientifique dans la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles par l'octroi de subsides à des chercheurs pour leur permettre de se consacrer à la recherche scientifique, et à des institutions pour leur permettre d'équiper ou de faire fonctionner des unités de recherche. Depuis 90 ans, le FNRS contribue au développement de la recherche fondamentale en Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles par sa politique d'encouragement de l'excellence scientifique et de support aux chercheurs aux différents stades de leur carrière.
Cette année, le FRS-FNRS a sélectionné 73 projets de jeunes chercheurs de l'ULiège qui vont pouvoir, grâce à une bourse de recherche de quatre ans maximum, préparer et présenter une thèse de doctorat dans les domaines liées aux Sciences humaines et sociales (bourses FRESH) et à l'industrie ou l'agriculture (bourses FRIA).
