ePOM, a subsidiary of the international POM conference and set up by researchers from ULiège, UNamur and UMons, wishes to strengthen the Belgian photonics network by associating research groups from all Belgian universities working on fundamental and applied photonics topics. This is an opportunity for all researchers working in the field to discover - or rediscover - and learn about the research topics and projects in progress in neighbouring universities.
For this first edition, the organizers have invited speakers covering the widest range of fundamentals and applications of photonics in Belgium. The organizers encourage all members of the optical community to submit posters. A virtual poster session will be organized on Twitter on the 10 September 2020.
The social events, which usually make a conference a success, are not forgotten: local hubs could be organized (depending on the global health situation) in each university to attend the conference with colleagues and discuss the presentations.
