How soil bacteria help plants defend themselves against disease
Researchers at the University of Liège have uncovered a new mechanism by which soil bacteria activate plants’ immune defences.

Since 2016, the University of Liège has introduced a number of measures aimed at integrating refugee students into higher education: free French language courses, free tuition, registration for the university entrance exam, etc
From the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, a pilot program for successful integration will be launched for refugee students already in Belgium. The program includesone-year support foruniversity studies, with a view to enrolling for a bachelor's degree the following year. The student will be supervised by an individual guidance counselor, and will be able to take intensive French courses and individual courses in the faculty. The student may also be accompanied by one or more faculty buddies (a student or group of students from the faculty) for courses and cultural and/or sporting activities.

The University of Liège and McGill University to announce the signing of a collaboration agreement between the Faculty of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and McGill University’s Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences on the Macdonald Campus.
