On February 2, Geeks Anonymes will welcome Arnaud Bouvry, from Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, for a talk entitled "Gitlab CI/CD and the open source community: building collaborative scientific software"

Python Agrivoltaic Simulation Environment (PASE) is an open source software for the simulation of agrivoltaic devices, the result of a thesis. In 2025, a Strategic Opportunity-Valorization Credit from ULiège made it possible to professionalize development to facilitate its adoption at both academic and industrial levels.

This conference offers concrete feedback on the best practices implemented to structure and evolve the project: use of Git and GitLab, code organization, contribution rules, automated testing and continuous integration (CI), user feedback management and collaboration with external partners.

The aim is to share tools, methods and lessons learned that can be reused by any team developing scientific or technical software, regardless of the application domain.
