Kroll à l’Univ’ : The exhibition continues at Sart Tilman
Le Sart Tilman is now hosting Kroll à l’Univ’, an exhibition that looks back on thirty years of Pierre Kroll’s cartoons in the pages of Le Quinzième Jour.
As a public university open to the world and is anchored in the scientific, cultural and economic development of its region, the University of Liège relies on its three pillars: teaching, research and community service.
ULiège trains responsible citizens who are provided with cutting-edge knowledge and critical thinking, are able to share knowledge and can push forward an increasingly complex world.
ULiège develops and promotes excellence in research, multidisciplinary and direct engagement with its instruction.
Global exposure is a top priority at the University of Liège. The institution offers a wide range of international mobility opportunities to students, researchers and staff, enabling them to enhance their cross-disciplinary skills and language knowledge.
ULiège: an experience of daily living. Located in 3 cities and 4 campuses, the university is a key player in terms of the environment and mobility.
The University of Liège will highlight Marine Simonis and Christophe Remy, both graduates of a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, and high-level athletes with exceptional achievements. This ceremony dedicated to sport will take place on Monday, 23 February 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Academic hall (Place du 20-Août, Liège).
Graduated in 2016, Marine Simonis has distinguished herself in competitive freediving, where she holds several Belgian records and a world vice-champion title. Passionate about underwater exploration and stress management in extreme environments, she embodies perseverance, self-control and the drive to push human limits.
Graduated in 1997, Christophe Remy works as a physiotherapist at the Burn Centre of the Liège University Hospital (Sart-Tilman). Driven by an exceptional spirit of commitment, he swam solo across the English Channel, an athletic and charitable challenge undertaken in support of the Burn Patients’ Aid Foundation.
Through their achievements and their dedication, these two Alumni embody the values of the University of Liège: excellence, self-improvement and solidarity. Their careers contribute to the reputation of our institution by combining high-level sport, passion and human commitment.
This ceremony will also be an opportunity to highlight ULiège’s sports policy, as well as the commitment of its research and teaching to sport, health and human performance, a field in which our University stands out for its multidisciplinary and innovative approach.
On this occasion, ULiège will present them with the "Alumni en Lumière" medal, in recognition of their remarkable journeys. The ceremony will be followed by a friendly drink.
This event is open to everyone, with registration.
We look forward to welcoming you to celebrate together the inspiring paths of our Alumni, Marine Simonis and Christophe Remy.
Registration required by 12 February at the latest
