On Saturday, February 7, 2026, the Université de Liège will hold its 16 th ceremony to honor its new PhDs (who graduated in calendar year 2025).
Ceremony program
8.15am: Welcome for new PhD students
9.30am: Doors open
10.00am: Ceremony begins
- Welcome by the Rectrice
- Honoring PhD thesis recipients
- Presentation of the ULiège Ambassador medal to the godmother and godparents of the Class of 2025:
- Mme Stéphanie van Loo
- Pr Jean-Marie Klinkenberg
- M. Jean-Pierre Latere
- Closing ceremony
12.30pm: Cocktail reception

Musical entertainment: ANHEMANA, an A Capella vocal trio
Born of confinement, Anhemana is the fruit of three musicians' shared desire to create, to forge links and to offer breathing space through the voice.
The name of the group is formed from their first names:
- Hélène Leire – Soprano
- Maïté Graff – Mezzo
- Ana Ceci Lopez – Alto
Three vocal colors, three singular presences, the same desire: to celebrate the voice as a matrix of beauty, sharing and rootedness.
