Freshwater month
A month of activities to explore the richness and fragility of freshwater, from our rivers to the tropics, through activities, tours, and scientific encounters.
As a public university open to the world and is anchored in the scientific, cultural and economic development of its region, the University of Liège relies on its three pillars: teaching, research and community service.
ULiège trains responsible citizens who are provided with cutting-edge knowledge and critical thinking, are able to share knowledge and can push forward an increasingly complex world.
ULiège develops and promotes excellence in research, multidisciplinary and direct engagement with its instruction.
Global exposure is a top priority at the University of Liège. The institution offers a wide range of international mobility opportunities to students, researchers and staff, enabling them to enhance their cross-disciplinary skills and language knowledge.
ULiège: an experience of daily living. Located in 3 cities and 4 campuses, the university is a key player in terms of the environment and mobility.
As part of Freshwater Month, our team is organizing a game for children at the Aquarium.
Following a dedicated trail through the Aquarium, young explorers will discover our planet's freshwater ecosystems. They will have to answer questions to complete a grid and, once the game is over, discover a mystery word.
From peaceful lakes in temperate regions to mysterious rivers in tropical areas, children will explore the flora and fauna that inhabit these aquatic environments. They will discover how species that live in rivers, lakes, and marshes survive, while understanding why it is essential to preserve these fragile environments.
An ideal activity to stimulate curiosity, observation, and reflection, while having fun.
Ages 7 and up.
This activity is organized as part of our "Freshwater Month" event: Along freshwater rivers, from our rivers to the tropics | From February 14 to March 15, 2026.
