What if cycling became a real option for your commute between home and campus?
Try it out with your colleagues for a month, with support along the way!
Thanks to the rise of electric bikes, the creation of new cycling facilities to and on campuses, the increase in secure bike parking, and the installation of showers at various University of Liège sites, cycling is becoming a credible mobility solution for more and more members of the university community.
Need a little help to get started?
Are you a student, doctoral student, or staff member considering cycling between home and campus, but still have concerns about the weather, route choice, or traffic?
The University of Liège offers you the opportunity to try it out for a month (in June or September), preceded by support combining practical training and discussion sessions, to give you all the keys you need to ride safely and with peace of mind.
While these activities are already offered individually throughout the year, this group support program is now organized twice a year for groups of ten people.
This support includes:
- An online training course on cycling and road safety;
- Practical training to (re)gain confidence when cycling in traffic;
- Training on how to maintain your bike;
- Support in planning your route;
- A month-long (re)introduction to cycling (in June or September);
- The option of a sponsorship by experienced cycling colleagues during your first rides.
Whether you are considering cycling for daily, occasional, or seasonal trips, take advantage of this support to get started with peace of mind and in complete safety.

An electric bike can be made available to doctoral students and staff based in Liège for bike training and the test period scheduled for June/September.
