Initiated by Liège Créative and organised in partnership with the University of Liège Alumni Network, this closing conference of the season offers a collective reflection on our relationship with time.

In a world marked by constant acceleration, while innovations increasingly promise to save us time, what relationship do we truly have with time? How do we use the time freed up through the automation of certain tasks? Do we genuinely benefit from “optimised” time?

Between the feeling of losing or gaining time, the desire to create more time for ourselves or to give it to others, our relationship with time is omnipresent in our lives, also forming a bridge between past and future.

This conference will bring together cross-disciplinary perspectives to explore the tensions shaping our relationship with time in work and society today.

Between the urgency of the present, the desire for flexibility, the necessity of long-term thinking and the growing difficulty of projecting ourselves into the future, our speakers, researchers, entrepreneur, lawyer, historian and philosopher, will shed light on the economic, historical, social and human dimensions of this increasingly central issue.

An evening open to everyone, particularly relevant for members of the ULiège Alumni Network wishing to deepen their reflection on transformations in the professional and societal landscape.
