International Astornomic Union Prize

The IAU Doctoral Prizes recognize outstanding scientific achievements in astronomy worldwide. There is a series of awards, one for each of the nine divisions of the IAU, each division choosing a laureate in its own field of astronomy.

The G Division Prize recognizes the best thesis in stellar physics that focuses on understanding the properties of stars of all masses and stages of evolution and the physical mechanisms that govern them. This division is also interested in binarity and stellar multiplicity, from nearby systems to extended systems.
