On October 17, 2025, the University of Liège organized an Ethics and Scientific Integrity Awareness Day, a must-attend event for the ULiège research community.
Organized jointly by ULiège-RISE and the Conseil à l'Éthique et à l'Intégrité Scientifique (CEIS), the day brought together 92 members of the scientific staff around a common objective: to reflect together on good research practices and reinforce the culture of scientific integrity at ULiège.
The day took the form of a "Case Studies Market - five experts, five themes, five spaces for dynamic exchange - addressing :
The rich, practical discussions raised participants' awareness of research ethics, identified their contacts within the institution and explored real-life ethical dilemmas encountered in day-to-day scientific practice. They were followed by a plenary session and a round-table discussion led by CEIS members, providing an opportunity for collegial and constructive dialogue.
Next event: January 29, 2026the next meeting will take place on January 29, as part of the new training program for scientific staff, which was introduced at the start of the academic year and is compulsory for new researchers starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Existing staff can participate on a voluntary basis.
This program, designed in collaboration with the University's departments and researchers, aims to provide coherent training tailored to each scientific profile, while supporting the implementation of the project HRS4R - HR Excellence in Research of the Institutional Strategic Plan 2022-2026.
