Inter-university motion on the destruction of Palestinian educational institutions

The Conseil des rectrices et recteurs des universités francophones condemns the systematic attacks and destruction of Palestinian educational institutions, and in particular the Palestinian higher education system in Gaza.

In addition to the destruction of university infrastructures (campuses, libraries...), thousands of students are deprived of access to education and hundreds of colleagues are no longer able to teach. Wherever they are perpetrated, in Palestine and elsewhere, whoever the targets, such attacks on institutions dedicated to the development of knowledge and intellectual work cannot leave our university community indifferent. Actively engaged in teaching and research cooperation in many parts of the world, the five universities of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, brought together within CRef, will continue to work in this direction and contribute in their own way to the reconstruction of a scientific and academic environment in Palestine.
