Euridentity: A training program on Europe and European values
Co-financed by the Erasmus+ program and organized by the University of the Greater Region, this complementary training course worth 6 ECTS credits is open to all ULiège students.
As a public university open to the world and is anchored in the scientific, cultural and economic development of its region, the University of Liège relies on its three pillars: teaching, research and community service.
ULiège trains responsible citizens who are provided with cutting-edge knowledge and critical thinking, are able to share knowledge and can push forward an increasingly complex world.
ULiège develops and promotes excellence in research, multidisciplinary and direct engagement with its instruction.
Global exposure is a top priority at the University of Liège. The institution offers a wide range of international mobility opportunities to students, researchers and staff, enabling them to enhance their cross-disciplinary skills and language knowledge.
ULiège: an experience of daily living. Located in 3 cities and 4 campuses, the university is a key player in terms of the environment and mobility.
Organized by various players at our university, the 21 events that punctuated the week brought together over 1,600 people. A week full of exchanges and discoveries!
The International Week, which took place from November 26 to 29, was an opportunity to strengthen the many links forged by ULiège beyond our borders in terms of research, teaching and services to the community, and to highlight the cultural diversity of the ULiège community.
The week of events opened with a talk by the Japanese Ambassador, who shared his vision of Japanese language and culture with the many students present, including his personal passion for manga.
The International Week closed with a plunge into marine sciences at ULiège and its many international links, followed by a convivial and festive evening bringing together our university's international researchers.
Another highlight was the Festival des Cultures , which gave visitors the chance to travel around the world while staying in Liège and discovering the cultural diversity of our community.
Throughout the week, students were able to find out more about the international mobility opportunities available to them throughout their studies, discover testimonials and photos of students who had gone on a mobility trip, and learn why an Erasmus experience boosts their soft skills for the rest of their lives and careers. Two film debates took place in Gembloux and Liège, featuring moving exchanges and testimonials on migration and intercultural experiences.
Foreign language learning was given pride of place thanks to an informative quiz fromISLV and even French was practiced at the Tables de Conversation for our international researchers.
The taste buds also enjoyed a gastronomic world tour prepared by international students in Gembloux and by Restaurants Universitaires in Liège.
A "Vietnam" colloquium highlighted our strong, long-term collaborations with Vietnam in a wide range of fields, including aquaculture in the face of climate change, health, transport and logistics. It brought together a series of speakers who examined the various possibilities for strengthening and expanding these partnerships, and exploring the possibility of a stronger presence for our university in Vietnam.
Interdisciplinary and international meetings provided opportunities for co-reflection and debate on the themes of "What link between green cities and healthy living?" and "Gene and cell therapies: global and Belgian perspectives". Last but not least, a "City Lab" UNIC brought together various players from the City of Liège, researchers and students to discuss urban resilience.
Students, teachers, researchers and staff all made their contribution to promoting our internationalization on campus and around the world.

ULiège offers its final-year Master’s students an exceptional opportunity: to join the Pan-European Seal Programme, a one-year paid traineeship programme within two prestigious international organisations.
Eclosio/Ucoopia, the ULiège NGO, is appealing to the solidarity of the university community. The appeal for donations is aimed at helping the local population to better manage water resources, which are crucial both for agriculture.
