Congratulations to Clément Delhez, Carla Hamann and Florence Mignolet! The 3 winners of the ULiège final of Ma Thèse en 180 secondes will defend the colors of our university at the national final to be held on May 16 at the Université libre de Bruxelles!

This Wednesday, March 20, 8 ULiège doctoral candidates took up the challenge of presenting their doctoral thesis in 3 minutes, in a convincing, easy-to-understand format, much to the delight of the public.

  • Clément Delhez, Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geology - Taking the plunge
  • CarlaHamann, Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Culinary journey: Cannabis à la carte!
  • Benjamina Manohisoa Aimée Rasoamananjaranahary, Political and Social Sciences - Brilliant graduate, suspended destiny: the shadows of insertion
  • Florence Mignolet, Physics - Saturday Magnetic Fever
  • Kim Mottard, Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - The knights of healing: attacking the dreaded brain cancer
  • Christina Piot, Languages, Literature and Translation - Language and gesture: an unsuspected symphony

The jury, made up of Delphine Buchet, Liège Créative Coordinator, Dominique Longrée, Didier Mattivi, ULiège-RISE Director and Michel Moutschen, Vice-Rector for Research, selected three researchers to defend ULiège's colors at the Belgian final on May 16 in Brussels.

A prize for ULiège doctoral students was also awarded.

The "My Thesis in 180 seconds" (MT180) competition aims to inform the general public about the richness and interest of scientific research, while developing doctoral students' communication skills.

Participants use their communication skills and creativity to share the richness and interest of their scientific research with the public.
