La délégation était menée par le Pr Eric Haubruge, Premier Vice-recteur de l’ULiège, qui a préparé avec ses interlocuteurs américains des « short trips » en 2018 pour les étudiants texans dans les domaines des sciences biomédicales et de l'ingénierie biomédicale ainsi qu’une formation originale entre le Texas et la Wallonie, « BEER and BBQ » avec le laboratoire en Sciences gastronomiques de Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech. Il a également poursuivi les liens initiés par le VentureLab avec l'incubateur texan AGGIELAND.
